My luck with a super duper is nothing short of taking $4 bucks and throwing it into the lake or river. It seems like evertime I buy one I'm lucky to get more than two casts with it before it is gone to the deep never to return. I think I have managed one good size trout on a SD....Too bad it wiggled off before a could get my net which was out of reach:(

Finally got around to buying a orange super duper with the prizm today.Tried it out in Barney's River tonight and i got to say it's the BEST LURE i have ever used for Brown's,caught nothing but browns all evening every pool i fished.Nothing very big but still fun all 1/2 LB and under.I don't think the oil spill there did to much damage. Can't wait to try this lure in the west river around beaver meadows this weekend.

I was in CT looking to get a super duper but wasn't sure what size to get. They were from 1 1/8 " and upwards close to 2". Does anyone have any preference on size or is it "if you want bigger fish use bigger lure" I'm new to trout fishing so I'm trying to learn as I go. Thanks.

I would start with the smalliest size Cdn Tire carries at first... I even carry a smaller size than that but the ones Cdn Tire have and the next size up are my most used ones. The orange one they carry I believe is the third smalliest size... its a great lure as well.

Fished beaver meadows this evening and sure enough the super duper came through again. They were hitting the silver not the orange or bronze(all brookies no brown)

I bought my first super duper today. I have a question about putting it on my line. It comes with a clasp/hook that you can attatch your line. In my opinion it looks like it would be weak. Would you prefer tying the line to that or removing it and tying the line right to the lure? Thanks.

I scored a couple of SD's at CT.I noticed wally world in Bedford has a good supply also.I bought an all red and a silver with red head.Anyway i went to grand lake this afternoon and fishing from shore tried about 10 diff baits. (no hits). I put on the REd one and caught 2 SM in 5 min.I then tried the silver but no hits.I went back to the Red one and caught a few more. All under 12 inch. All released.strange.

What's even more strange is that same super duper may catch diddly squat tomorrow, or LUNKERS!
Its called fishing, not catching...just sayin, LOL

This are the best lures out there for fishing trout, I tried a lot of different colour ones and the gold/red ones work the best

I have been using the SD for over 40 years.. I find the silver works best on Specks.. but the gold works ok also.. I find the smallest size works best but as mentioned the treble hooks bend easily..I change them to a quality silver hook and I found this actually catches more fish.. I am going to try a few diffent colors this year ,, looking for the small size in rainbow pattern.. they have a pretty good selection at CT right now.. :)

I picked up the rainbow pattern last year but haven't tried it, interesting thing is, even as I was buying it I was thinking it was kinda gimmicky to sell some extra lures, it worked on me lol!

Cheers
