Join us on Sunday August 21st (8am - 3pm) for our 2011 Kayak Fishing Fun Day, presented by Atlantic Winds Adventure, at Shubenacadie Grand Lake (W.A.D.R.A., south end launch area).

Everyone is welcome to attend, cost is just $20 per person which includes a burger (or hotdog), drink, kayak demo, and entry into a draw for some fantastic prizes including a fish finder, compass, and Hobie Float Cat! ($800 value)

There will also be an optional friendly fishing canoe & kayak competition with additional prizes and a trophy up for grabs for the most species caught by a single angler. All competitors must obey Nova Scotia angling laws. No restrictions on legal bait types and a digital camera is required as this is a CPR event (Catch, Photograph (measure) and Release).

Steve Clapperton, host of EastLink TV's "Fishing With Friends" will be on site covering the event while recording an episode for the 2012 season. Come say hi and meet Steve. - "Right On!" :)

Please let us know by replying here if you think you will be attending so we can plan accordingly for food & drink.

We hope to see you there! :)

Here is the location on Google Maps for those who may not be familiar:

Sounds like fun, Dave, and the planets might align well enough for me to be available.

Paul

The movie Deliverance actually started out as a very pleasant canoe trip.

My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.
I fish because the voices in my head tell me too!

Sure thing, though all participants will be required to register and at that time will receive piece of unique identification that will be required to be in each photograph registered for the friendly competition part of the day. We'll be posting more complete details in the coming days.

I am going to try and come down for this Dave.. since I am out of Province I will probably only just visit and paddle around.. already had my seasonal license for the week I spent fishing in NS. I will be letting Chris know so he and possibly Gary can make it out as well. It will be good just to say hey again to some familiar faces.

Nice Shoot me a PM and I will give you my number up here in Moncton. I am only about 20 minutes from Shediac so that's no biggy. Not sure where we can get out to since I am not all the familiar with most of this Province yet but we could at least do a coffee.
