I am wondering if my setup that I just bought would be able to catch a max 6 mackerel (the number of feathers I have on this fly setup) if it did so happen.

Rod & Reel:
South Bend Black Beauty 2 Medium Action Trolling Combo

Line:
Spiderwire Stealth Braid Moss Green 30lb(30lb on the front but I thought I saw 8lb test on the back, if somebody could explain this it'd be nice. I have somewhat of an understanding.)

6 Mackerel Feathers on 40lb test

I have a 4 ounce and a 3 ounce torpedo weight and also a few size 2 rubber core sinkers, let me know which I should use. I am jigging off a boat in a bay just to give you some information.

Thanks!

Braided line will give the equivilent mono diameter on the box; i.e. 30lb braid is the same diameter as 8lb mono.
That's plenty heavy enough for 6 mackerel. Do you really need that much sinker weight?

More than enough, sounds like you're vertical jigging so adjust your weight to get it down depending on wind and current
